GEORGETOWN, Texas – It was the Wisconsin-River Falls defense that delivered the final blow with one of its nine sacks on the day to help the Falcons to a 35-20 victory over Southwestern in a non-conference NCAA Division III contest.
UWRF (1-2) traveled more than 1,000 miles to take on the Pirates (1-3). The Falcons’ defense scored once and suffocated the Pirates’ running attack to the tune of -63 yards rushing.
Junior linebacker Albert Itula led UWRF with three sacks, while Nick Jacobsen had two-and-a-half sacks.
